Social Workers & Counselors

Social workers and counselors, including for example, guidance and career advisors, are often told they work on a salary and that they won’t receive overtime compensation even when their workload requires that they work over Forty (40) hours per week. However, regardless of the manner in which you are compensated, the Fair Labor Standards Act often requires that social workers and counselors be paid overtime wages for any hours worked above Forty (40) per week.

To learn more about whether you are entitled to receive overtime compensation in any position you’ve held within the past three (3) years, CONTACT US at the Shavitz Law Group, P.A. today for a free consultation.
