Prior to joining Shavitz Law Group, Camar Jones practiced with a prominent Broward County employment litigation firm, representing employees in claims arising under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, the Florida Civil Rights Act, the Fair Labor Standards Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act and § 448.08, Florida Statutes for unpaid wages earned. Subsequently, Mr. Jones joined a mid-sized Fort Lauderdale law firm where he also gained extensive experience in handling commercial matters, in addition to representing employers and employees in labor and employment matters relating to employment discrimination, unpaid wages including unpaid overtime, medical leave, and counseling employers on compliance with labor and employment laws.

Mr. Jones is part of the firm’s division dedicated to litigating collective and class actions, serving employees nationwide in pursuing their rights in the workplace and in seeking unpaid compensation. Mr. Jones assists employees in recovering unpaid overtime and minimum wages under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), and in discrimination and civil rights matters.
